Yorkshire Children’s Centre are delighted to be a partner within Thriving Kirklees, the new health partnership for services to support children and young people aged 0-19. We are looking for dedicated and passionate individuals wanting to help make a difference to the health and wellbeing of children and young people across Kirklees, and have a vacancy for the following post:

0-19 Health & Wellbeing Service Support Worker

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Support Worker to work within our 0-19 Health & Wellbeing Services. As well as providing administrative support the Support Worker will also work closely with our Service Manager to facilitate delivery of the services. You will need to be experienced in clerical work and have excellent organisational and computer skills to assist with ensuring a high standard of service provision. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and partner agencies.

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: £15,500 per annum pro rata​

Our Children and Families Service aims to help families reduce the conflict often associated with separation and encourages collaboration. Our Child Contact Centre offers Supervised and Supported Contact to a wide variety of families from centres in South and West Yorkshire.

As a result of continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Contact officer to support families within the West Yorkshire area. If you have relevant qualifications, experience of working with children and families in a variety of situations and a passion for ensuring that all children and families achieve their full potential in life, then please contact us for further information and an application form.

English Tutor

Job Vacancy at Yorkshire Children’s Centre

We are looking to appoint a motivated, flexible, proactive and committed English teacher to join our team at Brian Jackson College. The successful candidate will be an inspirational practitioner with experience delivering GCSE’s and Functional English level 1 and level 2.

Brian Jackson College specialises in working with KS4 students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) therefore experience of working in a similar setting would be advantageous, although not essential. As part of this role you will be expected to liaise closely with parents and guardians, and work closely with the whole staff team to support students with pastoral issues.

This role requires a firm but fair role model to appropriately deal with the challenging behaviour you will encounter on a daily basis be it 1:1 or group setting.

Base: Brian Jackson College, Heckmondwike

Salary: £21,000 – £22,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Mon-thurs 8am – 4.30pm & Fri – 8am -3.30pm (including 10 management days to be agreed by the Headteacher)
