SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
At YCC we understand that not every young person is suited to mainstream education. YCC runs two alternative provision colleges in Heckmondwike and Huddersfield. These colleges support students’ health, wellbeing and safety, whilst helping them through their GCSEs and vocational qualifications that will help them transition into adulthood, learning skills in subjects they are passionate about.

YCC operates two alternative provision colleges that welcome students who have found that mainstream education isn’t for them and are facing exclusion. The colleges, located in Huddersfield and Heckmondwike, support pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
YCC’s colleges aim to inspire all our pupils to be motivated and successful citizens, equipped to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. We have created a positive environment that offers a fresh start and encourages and promotes pupils’ academic, social, moral, spiritual and cultural learning.
