Purpose of the job
• To ensure the security of the building and provide practical help and support to of hours groups using the facility.
• Supporting with cleaning and general maintenance.
Main activities
• To assist and support the Service Coordinator in dealing with users’ requirements and requests.
• Provide caretaking support as the first point of contact for all users of the building out of normal office hours.
• Ensure the general security for the building
• To ensure correct procedures are followed in the event of an incident/accident.
• To keep the building clean and tidy to agreed standards.
• Supporting general maintenance jobs in the buildings.
• Maintaining Health and Safety standards within our buildings, including reporting Health and Safety and maintenance concerns or issues within our buildings.
• Ensure H&S maintenance caretaker records are kept up to date.

• Comply with all relevant YCC policies and procedures
• Undertake training and professional development as necessary in order to be able to fulfil the role
• Demonstrate all YCC values during the course of your role
Knowledge, training and experience required
➢ Previous experience caretaking in office environment.
➢ Ability to manage a large workload and be able to prioritise effectively
➢ Be professional, well organised and proactive
➢ Maintaining high level of standards and service
