Main duties and responsibilities | |
1 | Greeting parents and child/ren attending the centre to provide reassurance and a warm, friendly, welcoming environment |
2 | Engaging with child/ren if staff needed to speak with their parent or guardian about adult matters, interacting with children and parents |
2 | Supporting the lead contact worker in observing higher-level Supervised and Assisted contact sessions and the interactions between parents and children |
3 | To conduct lower-level Supported and Handover contact sessions independently, following review of experience and confidence in the role |
4 | To follow relevant policies i.e. YCC and local authorities safeguarding policies and procedures, YCC confidentiality and data protection policy. |
5 | To maintain a strong working partnership within all members of the contact team. |
6 | To work during times that will promote direct work with children and families which is likely to include weekends. |
7 | To prepare contact rooms with appropriate toys and equipment prior to sessions. To provide a safe, relaxed and hygienic play environment with consideration to Covid-secure measures. |
