Child Contact Volunteer Support Worker

Main duties and responsibilities 
1Greeting parents and child/ren attending the centre to provide reassurance and a warm, friendly, welcoming environment
2Engaging with child/ren if staff needed to speak with their parent or guardian about adult matters, interacting with children and parents
2Supporting the lead contact worker in observing higher-level Supervised and Assisted contact sessions and the interactions between parents and children
3To conduct lower-level Supported and Handover contact sessions independently, following review of experience and confidence in the role
4To follow relevant policies i.e. YCC and local authorities safeguarding policies and procedures, YCC confidentiality and data protection policy.  
5To maintain a strong working partnership within all members of the contact team.
6To work during times that will promote direct work with children and families which is likely to include weekends.  
  7To prepare contact rooms with appropriate toys and equipment prior to sessions. To provide a safe, relaxed and hygienic play environment with consideration to Covid-secure measures.
