English Teacher

Hours of Work:                  8.00am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday, Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring/experienced English Teacher who wants to develop creative learning opportunities for children with varied and complex needs. The successful candidate will be required to deliver Functional Skills and GCSE in line with national curriculum guidelines.

Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, working with small groups of pupils and on occasion 1:1, in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected, and involved in as many decisions as possible surrounding their learning.

The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and deliver lessons to pupils in KS3 and KS4, with a variety of cognitive styles, and in line with the curriculum.  You will have experience in developing engaging teaching resources, teaching programs and pastoral activities as appropriate

The successful candidate will be solution focused with the ability to engage all pupils in interactive, hands on, creative and problem-based learning; providing tailored support based on each pupils’ individual needs, capabilities and learning preferences and, when required, a blended learning approach for pupils who do not attend the school full time.
