Inclusion Manager

Brian Jackson College are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Inclusion manager to join our fantastic team in September 2022!

As an Inclusion Manager, you will lead on ensuring clear and concise expectations of behaviour are defined and upheld throughout the school.  The right candidate will have attributes of positivity and kindness, as well as previous experience of working within the field of SEND, SEMH and challenging behaviour. 

As part of the management team, you will be responsible for the close monitoring of student attendance and will work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and other agencies, to overcome barriers to learning.  You will be required to be the first point of contact for students and parents who wish to report an absence and will then log and communicate this information to staff. You will also be expected to provide communications and reports linked to an individual and groups attendance.  You will have excellent communication skills, will be able to produce and analyse data, report on findings, and implement strategies to help students meet the college’s high expectations of both behaviour and attendance as we firmly believe that this is a key element of an individual’s success with us.

Experience in safeguarding children in education is essential; you will be responsible for safeguarding matters across a range of year groups. You will work closely with the DSL and DDSL to ensure all safeguarding matters are logged, actioned and referral made where necessary.

As an integral part of our team, our ideal candidate needs to have outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills as well as the flexibility to adapt to the challenges of the school day. This demanding post requires someone who can multi-task in a busy office environment, interacting with children and adults throughout the day.  Additional duties include the line management of a team of support workers.

At the top of your game, you’ll relate well to young people, collaborate effectively with other adults and work constructively as part of a team. You’ll need to be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to use initiative, work independently and stay organized. You’ll do all this whilst capturing the spirit of our vision and values and whilst role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours.

Brian Jackson College are owned and managed by the Yorkshire Children’s Centre which is a medium sized Charity in Kirklees. We are an Ofsted ‘GOOD’ school supporting students that have or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream school.
