Hours of Work:                  8.30am – 3.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, Wednesday 8.30am – 3.45pm

Salary:                                FTE £17,924pa (39 hours); Actual £15,718.66pa (30.45 hours)

Base:                                  Heckmondwike

Brian Jackson College are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Learning and Behaviour Support Workers. The role is to support pupil development by contributing to the pupils’ educational, social, and developmental curriculum, participating in its delivery as a member of a coordinated team.

Brian Jackson College are owned and managed by Fresh Futures which is a medium sized Charity in Kirklees.

Brian Jackson College is an Ofsted ‘GOOD’ school supporting pupils that have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream secondary school. The aim of the school is to promote inclusion, raise standards of behaviour and achievement with a vision where young people achieve their full potential in life. The successful candidate will support the teacher with small groups to address the needs of all pupils, aged 13-16 Years old, all of which need help with behaviour management and self-regulation to overcome barriers to learning. 

Working together with a coordinated team you will be providing pupils with an opportunity to develop personally, academically, and emotionally to allow our young people to achieve their full potential.

Experience in supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges is essential.
