Young Adult Peer Volunteers

We are currently recruiting peer volunteers aged 18 – 26 years old for our new Young Adults’ Service, which supports young people across Kirklees.

We are actively recruiting three types of volunteer:

Peer Group Volunteer
Are you the creative type? Great organisational skills? Or just love to socialise? Help us organise and run events for young adults at the Brian Jackson House and other venues across Kirklees. This role would suit someone looking to gain experience as part of a team.

Volunteer Friend
If you prefer building relationships, our Volunteer Friend role may be for you! Help another young adult build their confidence through conversation and companionship, by meeting them for a coffee, going for a walk, or helping them attend one of our group activities. You will be matched with someone of a similar age based on your preferences and asked to meet them for around an hour a week.

Online Volunteer
Prefer to do good from the comfort of your home? Or want to put those social media skills to good use? Help us create social media content for our socials, as well as posters and leaflets to raise awareness of our new service. Help organise and run online events and resources for people living in Kirklees.
